Ambitious Plans for New Tourism Attraction Unveiled

Visitors to Scarborough Hotels could soon see the development of a New Water Park and Surf or Ski Dome as part of The Mere ‘Master Plan’. The ambitious £3.6 million plans to develop the Mere and Oliver’s Mount area are now on public display.
The proposals are expected to be very popular with Scarborough residents aswell as attract many tourists to Scarborough Hotels.
The blueprints can now be seen at Falsgrave Community Resource Centre, Eastfield Library and the Scarborough Urban Renaissance office as well as online at http://www.scarborough.gov.uk/regeneration.
Projects Manager Alex Richards told the Scarborough Evening News: “The project team would like to express sincere thanks to all those stakeholders and members of the public who have contributed to the consultations for their valued input.
“More than 150 consultation forms were received and much constructive feedback obtained.”
