MORE POPULAR TO HOLIDAY IN UK RESORTS AS AIRLINES REDUCES NUMBER OF FLIGHTS

TravelMole, an online community for the Travel and Tourism Industry reports on how chiefs at Airline Ryanair is to cut the number of outgoing flights which will effect about 900,000 people per week.

Ryanair are reducing the number of aircrafts based at the airport from 36 to 28.

This will be a big boost for hotels in the UK, especially resorts such as Scarborough & Bournemouth, where many hotels are offering bargain accommodation for people making UK summer leisure breaks.

The no-frills carrier is to reduce the number of flights from the airport from more than 1,850 to less than 1,600.

The number of aircraft based at the airport will be cut by a quarter or eight aircraft, down to 28 from 36.

Ryanair blamed high oil prices, the cost of using Stansted and an alleged failure by the Civil Aviation Authority to control costs for airlines using the airport. Although, if the many articles published recently in the press are to be believed, more and more UK Holiday makers are choosing to take their annual break at home, choosing traditional UK Seaside resorts such as Scarborough over holidays abroad.
